Profile

Andrew Wolfson is a founder and CEO of Pembroke Investment Managers LLP (PIM). He launched Pembroke VCT in 2013.  Andrew plays a crucial role in executing the firm’s strategy, leading the investment team and fostering deal origination while supporting Pembroke’s portfolio companies.

Andrew chose not to attend university but instead embark on a business career. This entrepreneurial journey has taken him across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, telecoms and hospitality. His learnings allow him to pass on valuable real-life experience to Pembroke’s portfolio company founders and management teams.

Andrew’s commitment to charity is also noteworthy. As chairman of Benesco Charity Limited, The Charles Wolfson Charitable Trust, and MiSST (Music in Secondary Schools Trust), he actively contributes to initiatives that positively impact various areas of society.

Andrew’s involvement in MiSST is an example of his belief that education should move beyond traditional curriculum subjects and the over-reliance on exams as the measure of educational success.

Andrew’s passion for health and well-being is evident in his beliefs and daily practices. He advocates better health outcomes through prevention and recognising the importance of proactive measures. Andrew incorporates Lyma supplements into his daily routine but he does not forget to delve into his favourite Hackney Gelato ice cream flavour, Bronte Pistachio, to enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Andrew is an avid golfer and enjoys the world of wine, exploring different varieties and regions.
