Lunch with the Dura Society

As March and International Women’s Month draws to a close, we are delighted to have hosted a lunch with The Dura Society, celebrating female founders and leaders across the UK, and the role investors like Pembroke VCT can play in supporting them.

Gathered at our discussion were founders, investors, creatives and advisers, brought together by Lottie Leefe. A network of women focused on wealth and wellbeing, whose membership spans high-net-worths, founders, business owners and senior professionals with a shared interest in wealth, investment and the businesses they back.

A particular thank you to our keynote guest Lucy Goff, Founder of LYMA, whose story stopped the room. From a near-fatal illness to a chance encounter with a clinical pharmacologist, Lucy built a brand that now holds a King’s Award for Enterprise, a TIME Magazine top invention, and the trust of millions worldwide.

The statistics speak for themselves: only 2% of venture funding goes to female founders. At Pembroke VCT, 36% of our portfolio is founded or led by women, and we remain committed to backing remarkable founders regardless of background.
