Why we invested in Exeros
Backing Exeros Technologies on its journey to safer roads Exeros Technologies is London-based company that designs and installs camera and telematics systems to help commercial fleets reduce risk, coach drivers, and cut costs. What first caught your attention about Exeros? It was the founders, Jay and Joe. They’re ambitious and grounded in the realities of the problem. Jay grew up around his dad’s taxi business, where he first saw how technology could protect drivers. He later took that thinking into motorsport, tracking driver performance, before evolving the tech for commercial fleets. That backstory stood out. This showed us they weren’t just building a product, they cared about reducing road accidents and protecting people and fleets. That journey says a lot and they’ve built something practical and driven by a genuine need. Exeros had also been growing steadily and profitably for several years. There was clear customer traction and solid data behind their plans, which gave us confidence. What’s most impressive about Exeros’ technology ? Simply, 62% fewer collisions and 65% fewer at-fault incidents. The camera systems use AI to monitor both the driver and the environment in real time, picking up signs of fatigue, blinking, micro-sleep, and distraction. Drivers get various alerts if something’s wrong, prompting them to take a break, and alerts back to the fleet manager if the prompts are ignored. Because of this, driver behaviour has improved by 81%. How will Pembroke support Exeros beyond funding? For us, investment means partnership. With Exeros, we’re providing hands-on support to refine the go-to-market approach and build the right team for the next stage. Felix, our Head of AI & Growth, works with founders on how to design their strategy for growth. Emma, our Director of Talent, helps management teams think about organisational design, as well as identify and hire the right senior people for the role. Those early hiring decisions matter, they set the tone for culture and long-term performance. Beyond compliance, what kind of ROI are fleets actually seeing from this technology? The results speak for themselves. Fleets using AI camera systems like Exeros’ are seeing far fewer accidents, fewer insurance claims, and a big reduction in costs. In some cases, Exeros’ customers have experienced reduced insurance claim costs by up to 58% and lowered insurance premiums by 25%. And drivers benefit too. They understand that the tech is there to protect them, not monitor them unfairly. It rewards better driving and ultimately improves the culture of fleet safety. How does Exeros fit within Pembroke’s wider investment strategy? Exeros ticks the boxes for us at Pembroke. It’s solving a real problem with technology that sets it apart. Jay and Joe have built the business from scratch, securing blue-chip customers including the AA, RAC and Renault. Fleet safety is moving quickly as AI and automation start to replace older monitoring systems, and Exeros is right at the heart of that change. The platform is helping to raise the standard of what good looks like in intelligent vehicle safety. Andy Hall Investment Manager
