Chris Lewis

Chris joined Pembroke in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Chief Operating Officer. He brings invaluable experience from professional services, family offices and investment management. Prior to Pembroke, he was CFO at Downing LLP, where he worked for ten years. He played a pivotal role in building the organisation’s ability to grow and diversify from a specialist VCT provider to offering a range of investment products.

Beyond his professional and business achievements, Chris leads an active lifestyle. Since joining Pembroke he has been a regular user of Thriva’s at-home blood tests and of Lyma’s supplements.

In his leisure time, Chris has a passion for all things cycling. In 2017 he conquered the official route of Tour de France, covering the full 3,300km over three weeks.

Chris currently serves as the Chair of the Venture Capital Trust Association (VCTA), which is the UK industry body representing twelve of the largest venture capital trust managers in the UK. Together, these managers make up more than 90% of the VCT industry, with £6.5bn funds under management invested through an extensive regional network of local offices across the UK.
