Sam Lenihan

Sam is a Portfolio Analyst at Pembroke, having joined the Valuations and Reporting team in July 2026 for a 12-month placement. His role covers reviewing portfolio company financials and documents, supporting quarterly valuations, and preparing for internal board meetings.

Prior to Pembroke, Sam completed work experience at The Gym Group, where he worked with the finance team on Excel-based data reporting and commodity hedge simulations. He also worked as a private tutor in Maths and Science, and at his local pub.

Sam is studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Bath, with a particular focus on Financial Accounting and Investment Banking.

Outside of work, Sam is an avid rugby player, having previously been enrolled in the Harlequins development academy before playing BUCS-level rugby at Bath. He’s also a keen distance runner, currently training for a half marathon in September.
